Feb 10: Tsuno Wine & Food Pairing Event

The "Tsuno Mariage Project" is a collaboration between wine appetizer expert Michiko Ohashi and Tsuno Town in Miyazaki Prefecture. Last year, this project became a major talking point among wine and food lovers for its unique pairing experiences that bring together local wines with seasonal ingredients and regional food culture.

Resonating deeply with the project’s vision, CROSS TOKYO Representative Inoue has joined to support the initiative. With the wish that "everyone who loves the town, loves wine, and cares about the region can intersect to envision a fun future together," a special, one-night-only event will be hosted at MOSS CROSS TOKYO shibuya.

Michiko Ohashi’s book, Wine Appetizers Everyone Loves, is packed with tips and methods to enrich daily dining tables through pairing 52 weeks of seasonal ingredients with local wines. Today, recipes from this book are being sold as prepared dishes within Tsuno Town and enjoyed by local producers and wineries alike, expanding into an initiative that energizes the entire community.

For this event, MOSS CROSS TOKYO will specially recreate the recipes featured in the book, offering an opportunity to experience the "Tsuno Mariage" with all five senses, accompanied by world-renowned Tsuno wines. Guests can enjoy a wide variety of food and wine pairings in a lively, standing buffet style. For wine enthusiasts who are drawn to the individuality of wine regions and the passion of winemakers, this experience will allow them to savor the "story of the land" right from their glass.

The encounters and interactions between the people of Tsuno Town and the guests will serve as the perfect spice to color the night. Visitors are warmly invited to bring along anyone they would love to share a drink and a wonderful time with.

While working for a wine importing and trading company, she experienced diverse wines from around the world and became fascinated by the art of food and wine pairing. Currently, she travels across Japan searching for delicious local ingredients and artisanal products that pair beautifully with wine, conducting daily research on their compatibility. She continuously creates and proposes numerous easy-to-make, seasonal appetizer and dish recipes designed to perfectly accompany a glass of wine.
